Beam Saw Operator

Major Recruitment are currently recruiting an experienced Beam Saw Operator to join our prestigious client based in Middleton, Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous beam saw operating experience to join a well established business, with the potential to secure a permanent position.

Previous experience operating a beam saw is essential.

A valid Reach FLT licence is highly desirable but not essential, as training will be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Working within a busy production environment.
• Operating a Schelling beam saw to cut large sheets of material to the required sizes.
• Ensuring all materials are cut accurately, precisely and to a high quality standard.
• Operating CNC machinery, with further training provided.
• Carrying out heavy lifting and moving materials safely.
• Operating a Reach FLT to move goods and store materials in racking, where licensed.
• Following all site health and safety procedures and maintaining high quality standards.

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 9:00am – 6:30pm
• Friday: 8:00am – 5:30pm
• Lunch break: 1 hour unpaid
• Weekends: No weekend work required.

Pay and Benefits

• £14.10 per hour.
• Temporary to permanent opportunity.
• Annual pay review.
• Annual profit related bonus after 12 months of permanent employment.
• 25 days' annual leave plus statutory bank holidays.
• Two week Christmas shutdown.
• On site parking.
